Standard town centre. Quite a few closed up shops but still plenty to get what you need day to day. The place gets slated a lot but we really like it as it's never to busy with people ontop of you.
The variety of shops in Peterlee is not much different from anywhere else, the problem is the actual state of the shopping centre itself. Too many empty units, shops that are open are too spread out. For the size of Peterlee and it's ever growing number of new houses the town is not fit for purpose. A significant investment is needed which will never happen under the current owners. I think 3 stars is generous but that is for the people who work there who always friendly despite their working environment.
THERE is not much here anymore the place is siding dieting and it's a shame as Peterlee CastleDene Shopping Centre use to be a very good place to shop but not no more
Badly in need of an upgrading. But still handy variety of shops, mind you I'm surprised they haven't thought of bulldozing the whole place and put houses on it yet! Fingers crossed! :)
My local shopping centre... I Love it. Has everything you need from asda to birthday cards and a monthly market too
